Biography

Juanita K. Martin, Ph.D. (she/her/hers) is the Executive Director for the Counseling and Testing Center and Office of Accessibility. She is a licensed psychologist who earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Kent State University. In addition to administrative duties, she enjoys working with anxiety, depression, and social justice concerns. She is currently on the Accreditation Board for the International Accreditation for Counseling Services (IACS) and is the Secretary of the Greater Cleveland/Akron Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi). Other professional memberships include APA (Division 45), the Ohio Psychological Association and the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors where she co-chaired the Elements of Excellence committee. Her research and publications have focused on multicultural issues. She also enjoys exercise, reading and spending time with family and friends.
