Buffe Family Scholarship in Social Work
The Buffe Family Scholarship in Social Work was established in 2005 by William E. Buffe. Mr. Buffe created the scholarship in honor of his late wife, Jane C. Buffe, and daughter, Anne E. Buffe, both of whom had been dedicated social workers in Akron, Ohio, and New York City, respectively.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving full-time graduate or undergraduate student majoring in social work at The University of Akron. The recipient shall be selected by the director of the School of Social Work in coordination with the Office of Student Financial Aid.
