Brown, Bacari K. Sales Scholarship

The Bacari K. Brown Sales Scholarship, established in April 2007 but awarded in 2006, was created to financially support students in the Ronald R. and Diane C. Fisher Institute for Professional Selling in the College of Business Administration at The University of Akron. Bacari K. Brown received a BSBA in marketing management in 2003 from The University of Akron. Bacari is a stellar sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Recipient must be a full-time student in good standing with the Institute, exhibit noticeable financial need, and preferably have a strong GPA. The student’s character is of utmost importance. The recipient must be tenacious, charismatic, hard-working, and goal-oriented. He or she must be aware that the college learning experience takes place both inside and outside of the classroom and be able to stand out in a crowd.

The scholarship recipient will be selected by Brown and/or the director of the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling. The recipient will receive one half of the award in the fall term and the remaining half in the spring term. The scholarship can be awarded through the recipient’s senior year, if applicable.
