Gorbach, Carl and Agnes Family Scholarship

The endowed Carl and Agnes Gorbach Family Scholarship was established in March 1993 by Agnes Gorbach and her 10 children in memory of their loving husband and father, Carl Gorbach. In October 2003, in memory of their mother Agnes, the Gorbach children revised the scholarship to commemorate the lives of both their parents. The University of Akron has been the alma mater of not only Mr. and Mrs. Gorbach, but of several of their children. It is the wishes of the family that the recipient of this scholarship meet the following stipulations: junior or senior class status, minimum GPA of 2.5, resident of Summit County, member of family of five or more children (if possible). Each year, the family will receive a list of qualified applicants from which to choose one or more recipients.
