Steiner, Eddie and Jane Endowed Scholarship

The Eddie and Jane Steiner Endowed Scholarship was established by the couple in 2019 for students at The University of Akron Wayne College and the University’s Millersburg Campus.  Eddie received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Akron, while taking most of his classes at Wayne College, and was recognized by the College with the Wayne College Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017.

Eddie and Jane desire to give back to Wayne College and to help current and future students through this scholarship. “Wayne College made it possible for me to pursue higher education while raising a family, maintaining employment, and staying involved in the community; and I’m very grateful for that opportunity,” said Eddie Steiner.

Eligible students for The Eddie and Jane Steiner Endowed Scholarship must be enrolled with at least six credit hours per semester at Wayne College or the University’s Millersburg Campus, and must have demonstrated financial need.  First consideration will be given to non-traditional students, as well as to current employees of The Commercial and Savings Bank (CSB). Recipient selection will be determined annually by the designated Wayne College representative or committee. The scholarship amount and number of scholarships distributed may vary, depending on available funds.
