Bartley, Dr. Alise G. and David W. Endowed Scholarship for Women in the College of Engineering

The Dr. Alise G. and David W. Bartley Endowed Scholarship for Women in the College of Engineering was established at The University of Akron in 2015, through a generous gift from the Bartley family. Dr. Bartley is a °µºÚ±¬ÁÏ alumna who earned her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Mr. Bartley through his company, Ohio Gratings, Inc., has utilized The University of Akron’s engineering faculty and students to calculate and test load strength for metal bar grating.

The Dr. Alise G. and David W. Bartley Endowed Scholarship for Women in the College of Engineering will be awarded to incoming first year female students (cisgender women and transgender women) from pre-engineering high school programs, or high schools that have strong science and math programs. Selection of recipient(s) will be made by the College of Engineering Scholarship Committee, which includes the director of the Women in Engineering Program, and the donors.
