Goff, Christopher V. Scholarship
The Christopher V. Goff Scholarship was established by Christopher V. Goff in June 2017 for the benefit of students at The University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Goff earned a master’s degree in Political Science (1995) and a Juris Doctor (1999) from The University of Akron. He now serves as the chief executive officer and general counsel for Employers Health in Canton, Ohio.
Mr. Goff is a member of the American Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association, where he chairs the health law committee. He is also an adjunct professor and co-director of The University of Akron School of Law’s Health Law Certificate Program. In 2017, Mr. Goff received the John R. Quine Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award.
Mr. Goff serves on several local and national boards, including the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Foundation (Treasurer), Jackson Local Schools Board of Education (President), Health Foundation of Greater Massillon (Chairman), National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions and The University of Akron School of Law Alumni Board.
The Christopher V. Goff Scholarship will be awarded annually to one or more students enrolled at The University of Akron School of Law. The School of Law’s scholarship committee will select the scholarship recipient(s).
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following, in order of importance: financial need, interest in Health and/or Employment Law and academic merit. First preference will be given to candidates graduating from a Stark or Muskingum county high school.
