Ostroff, Charlotte Memorial Scholarship
The endowed Charlotte Ostroff Memorial Scholarship was established by Samuel Ostroff '32, a graduate of the College of Engineering and Commerce in memory of his late wife, Charlotte Ostroff. Charlotte was described by her son as "one of the gentlest souls God ever put on this earth. She placed implicit trust and faith in everyone and always optimistically believed things would work out for the best. She never had an unkind or uncharitable thought about anyone." This scholarship serves as a tribute to all that Charlotte Ostroff accomplished and to her unwavering devotion to her husband and children during her 56-year marriage. The scholarship will be awarded to a freshman student enrolled full time in the College of Business Administration and also enrolled in The University of Akron Honors Program. The scholarship is renewable for four years as long as the recipient maintains a 3.5 GPA.
