Black Professional Association Scholarship Fund

The Black Professional Association Scholarship Fund was established with a gift from the Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation. The gift was initiated by Dr. Charles Taylor, who was selected as the Black Professional of the Year for 1989. Scholarship recipients must be black students at The University of Akron who have demonstrated financial need (financial statements qualifying for government grants). Preference shall be given to students from the greater Cleveland area. Scholarship recipients shall be selected by the scholarship committee in cooperation with the Office of Minority Affairs.
