Wright Scholarship for Students

Professor Ruth E. Clinefelter established The Wright Scholarship for Students in her last will and testament in August of 2010. Professor Clinefelter was the history bibliographer and emeritus professor of bibliography at the University Libraries, serving The University of Akron for 43 years.

The Wright Scholarship for Students is established to provide financial assistance for a full-time student in memory of Ruth's father, Cyril Wright, her mother, Elizabeth Dresher Wright, and her stepmother, Marguerite Gerow Wright. It shall be for a female student as a first preference, in good standing, and a baccalaureate or graduate-level student in the fields of classics, archaeology, history, or women's studies.
