Google Analytics
Google is...everywhere.
Built into the templates for the °µºÚ±¬ÁÏ website is a snippet of code that reports back to Google when a page is visited. The analytics from this reporting can show us overall traffic to our website, highlight how our visitors move through our pages, and reveal key terms people use to find our content.
What can this tell me?
Google Analytics can provide detailed traffic information based on a date range. This can be helpful to show the results of a media campaign by focusing on specific section or page of a website. Reports can also show a snapshot of traffic on a monthly basis - showing trends in visitors and helping build a profile of when certain parts of the site are more useful.
How do I get started?
Email web-team@lists.uakron.edu with your request. If you need a one time report, include the date range. For periodic reports, include your gmail account (or a shared account for your department). In either case, include the specific page you want to monitor or the folder for your site to get an overview.
