  1. Full-time enrollment assumes 30 credit hours per year (14 in the fall semester and 16 in the spring semester). Part-time enrollment assumes 20 credit hours per year (10 in the fall semester and 10 in the spring semester). This equates to an average of 10 courses per year for full time students and 6 courses per year for part-time students. Actual credit hours and course loads may vary, resulting in a variation in tuition and fee totals. In order to get through the J.D. program in a timely fashion (3 years for full-time or 4 years for part-time), the law school’s curriculum requires you take 12 to 16 credit hours a semester (for full-time) and 8 to 10 credit hours a semester (for part-time).
  2. Non-resident students pay the same tuition as resident students plus a $100 annual non-resident surcharge. This surcharge is waived for students who become Ohio residents. Students are typically able to become Ohio residents after one year of Ohio residency.
  3. Please note that first-year tuition may be less than the totals indicated in the table above.
